Title: Rebuilt Pontiac motor and carb , identity ?
Post by: MG60 on August 23, 2015, 06:40:03 AM
Hi Cliff and Ethan1 , could you help please ?
I recently bought another old Pontiac car to "do up" and it has some interesting stamps on the block and heads . I think the motor was professionally rebuilt years ago and the shop that did the work did the stamping . The stamps are ;  NMS  1371    May 1989  .
Do you know of this auto shop ?

I am not sure. There are thousands of shops that rebuild engines. Have you tried contacting previous owner of engine?

Hi Ethan , the rebuild was 3 owners ago unfortunately , I was told it might be a shop in Montana .
I just thought I'd see if one of the site visitors might know the stamp marks .
Thanks anyway .
