Checked my carb number and its 17066605 with a 1435 under it. I would put a pic up but it's too difficult to do with an iPad. Would this be a service replacement? It seems to have the right base for a turbo motor with all the right ports. No other letters or numbers. And the stamping is clear, numbers are not 8's. Doesn't match a 1980 Turbo 301 Trans am. The car is a First week of December 1979 build date. Maybe a turbo Monty Carlo carb?

Welcome to CHP!
That is a SR Qjet for a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am 301cid Turbo Non-California A/T car. If I remember correctly, most (if not all) Quadrajets starting with 1706 were Service Replacement carburetors. Cliff would best to answer that question.

This carb must be a service replacement. It has all the right vacuum ports for the 1980 turbo 301, DX 2ndary rods, 42k primary rods and I think a P hanger. Adjustable APT too.
