What is the best choice when replacing the APT press-in plug -
1/8" counter sunk PIPE Thread Plug ?
3/8" X 16 (course) Socket Head Screw ?
3/8" X 24 (fine) Socket Head Screw ?
What is the size of the APT screw on the Edelbrock carb.
shown on page 119 upper right photo Cliff's Book ?
Thank You To All Who Offer Assistance on this Great Sight!(http://)

I would go with the 3/8"-24 allen head screw. At least that is what I have used. :)
Not sure on the Edelbrock APT in Cliff's book. Cliff would be best to answer.
Glad to have you on this site as well. 8)

I've always used the 1/8 pipe plug, saw where Cliff mentioned 3/8 set screw.
-
I use the 3/8 x 16

Looks like I received a "Vote-for-each-Choice"?
I guess any of the THREE will work as a screw-in APT Plug.
Again, THANKS to ALL

3/8"-16 works fine, that's what we put in our fastener kits for the later APT models.
Edelbrock used fine 3/8" fine threads.....Cliff

I used 3/8s 16 Allen as well on all the ones I've replaced. Anything alse and you gotta fiddle with the gasket/airhorn surface too much. IMO
