Title: hard start cold
Post by: flyboy on January 11, 2010, 07:37:18 PM
Hi. Looking for some direction if anyone cna help. I have a 69 GTO 4 speed with an incorrect 7037576 automatic quadrajet on it. When cold and first start of day, it takes a good 45-60 seconds of off and on cranking to start. Once started, operates as should with fast idle and kick down. And once warm, fires right up with just a touch of the key. Any ideas where to look first? Thanks

Bowl is empty, pressure test the bottom plugs, it's almost guarenteed they are leaking on that model...Cliff

Thanks Cliff. I just ordered your book, assume that will give instruction on sealing those?
