 Welcome to CHP!

I would try a quality satin clear coat. Like VHT brand. I have had great success with there products and have kept my carbs looking nice for quite some time. :)

Ethan,

Can you say more about treating the carb's finish with satin clear?

How effective is it with protecting the finish?  Does it change the look or color?  And how do you prep the surface before applying?

Which products work well?  I found VHT SP115 Satin Clear Header paint.

It protects it well. Better than nothing. Make sure the surface is SUPER clean before spraying. It will not change the color at all. That is the VHT I use. It doesn't say if it is chemical resistant or not, but I have not had a problem with it. :)
