Hello, I'd greatly appreciate any help with this....the '69 Pontiac Firebird had an optional "Sprint 6" engine (250 I6 fed by a Quadrajet, either 7029260 or 7029261). I'm rebuilding a '69 Chevy 250 I6, and have a '78 Chevy Quadrajet 17058213 for it (in the event you're wondering...I managed to scrape together an entire drive train out of the junkyard on the cheap so there's quite a bit of variation). If possible, would you know every minute detail of how the Sprint 6 Quadrajet was spec'd out? I'd like to rebuild mine to mirror the same performance.

The 17058213 is a completely different carburetor although similar in appearance. It's a single MAB design and nothing used in the original OHC 6 Q-jet would correctly calibrate it.
The good news is that the later Chevy q-jet isn't far off for what you are trying to do, just needs a little help being emission calibrated. When you get time call the shop, we can spec out a custom kit with tuning parts to set the later carb up exactly for what you are doing......Cliff
