Title: Divorced choke adjustment
Post by: Jeffs68 on May 25, 2016, 01:08:32 PM
Carb # 7029241

When the motor is dead cold and the choke sets, how far closed should the choke flaps be?

If all the way closed, how much tension from the choke coil should there be?

Thanks!

Yes, all the way closed. As for tension, not sure how to describe. I do it by feel, from the choke valve. Usually the choke valve snaps back ALMOST immediately, but is a SLIGHT hesitation. So, not too much tension I guess on the choke coil.

I've always set them to just close all the way @ about 65-70 degrees.
