Title: 7029207 secondary air baffle

Picked up some used carbs. One has a weird box\ chute on the secondary baffle plate. But only on the curbside.carb 7029207 its open at the top and bottom. Boxed on the back and sides.

Only on the trucks. If it was effective, you would think mother GM would have used them on more appliacations

 Exactly. I am not sure either, on how effective it is/was.

GM engineers must've found something helpful on a stock motor to require doing this. Just think what could happen if it fell off, all the damage it would cause. There must've been an extreme amount of testing to come up with this mod. It would be great to dyno it against a standard baffle to see if there is a difference. Good post.
