Is there any way a home restorer can duplicate the Teflon green plating that came on so many of the Q-jets. What have the forum members tried?

It is more of a coating, than a plating. ;)
I believe Caswell sells a Olive Drab solution system. Never tried it though.

May also try some Olive Drab military paint. Probably could get some on eBay. Best you can do without plating or the new Teflon coating, sadly.

And guns.......It is about as close and good as you are going to get.

I agree. Seems that is the way to go. I found this website awhile back, but never contacted them:

You would have to have a pretty hot oven. Probably a powder coater oven!
