What's the specs on it, if indeed it's the correct number?
Haven't seen it's a friend of mine's carb.

 Sorry to say, but you won't find any specs after 1980. And Marine carbs are even harder. I have a few that I looked up on my own, but your's I can find nothing on. Sorry about that. :(

 FWIW Jim, the Metering and Jet kit for your carb is 1397-8577. Might call this place as they might be able to tell you what the metering rods and jets are:
