Title: Number 17054922
Post by: MD11mech on June 20, 2016, 06:34:21 PM
Carb # 17054922.  stamped below are the numbers : 1747.

Bought this yesterday at a swap meet for 15 bucks. What is the CFM rating And what was it used on? If this is worth rebuilding would it out perform the current 650 Edelbrock on 396 BB? Thank you.

 Welcome to CHP!

That came off a 1977 Chevrolet/GMC Pickup 350cid A/T. As for the date code, 174th day of 1977.

The CFM rating is right around 750cfm I believe. But, with the right modifications, that carb will smash that Edelbrock. :)
