Title: Buick 7040244 rebuild
Post by: Jeffs68 on June 22, 2016, 06:55:52 AM
So before I jump into this with both feet, here's what I'm thinking of doing.

Have a good core, going to replace the throttle shafts with Pontiac shafts/linkage, re-bush the primary shaft, epoxy the well plugs, put a kit in it.

I'd like to calibrate it to be used on a Pontiac 400 67-69, is it worth replacing all the internals and modifying it to do this.

If so, Cliff what do I need from you in addition to the rebuild kit?

Thanks in advance.

Nice carb and it will work fine for what you want to do with it.  We will supply the correct tuning parts with the kit, just call the shop when you get a moment and we'll get what you need headed your way.  We're here 8am-4pm, M-F EST...tks...Cliff
