Hi guys,
Cliff I own and have finished reading both of your books. (Great books!)
I am in the process of finishing up a 700R4 rebuild and have a question.
The carb that I am using (modified Q-jet per your book) has a provision for what I believe to be from a th350 kick down cable. Carb # is 17054914, is this location suitable for the TV cable? Do I need a throttle shaft from a different carb?
Thanks in advance for your help.

They TH350 location usually works just fine, if it provides full range of travel for the TV cable? The cables are adjustable, so make sure it is correctly adjusted before the test ride. Too much slack means low pressure and it can very quickly "smoke" the transmission....Cliff

I couldn't get the cable to work with the Thm350 throttle angle in my 77 Corvette with a 2004r trans. I am using a Throttle shaft out of a Monte Carlo in my carb. The numbers stamped on the throttle arm is 62212 along with a large A stamped close to the throttle shaft........jack

I forgot to mention you have to drill out the accelerator pump arm to 3/16th. The pump rod is a larger diameter

Hi there,
What year was the Monte Carlo carb?
Just incase my current 350 position doesn't work.
Thanks.
