1974 Pontiac Vehicles 455cid, California, A/T. Though I have never seen a date code with a "-" in it.

Yes, I have to get a closer look at it w/better light and (some better glasses), Thanks

So Far I can only see that the date code is 35 3 no - in it as first noted . It's still had for me to actually make out the main #'s . Is there any trick to making the #'s show any better? Thanks. It does have the slotted secondary .

OK The #'s I'm fairly sure about are 7044--0 . I will try to post a pic tomorrow. Thanks

that is an interesting number - I don't know if I have ever comeacross unique (Pontiac application) California carbs other than ones from the 1970 model year - yet the initial application suggested was exactly what my guess was;
70 = series
4 = post-1969
4 = 1974
5 = California emissions (the normal is a "2")
6 = Pontiac (6&7 were Pontiac numbers)
0 = even number denoting automatic application
