Title: Stumble on acceleration
Post by: ALS71GS on August 21, 2016, 04:24:48 PM
Hi all,had the Buick out for a drive today ,and noticed a stumble/popping under hard acceleration from a stop ,maybe just into the secondaries. Engine was fully warm. When I got home I noticed air flap would move a little while idleing, so i bent the dashpot linkage to adjust.Should I also try more spring wind-up?
Engine is a 462 with cam specs. 228/236, 9 to 1 comp. Total timing at 34+10 on vac. advance, manifold source.
   Carb. is#17056540 with Cliff's H.P. kit,.038 idle tubes,down channel .059,mixture holes.094,.109 by-pass air,#73 jets and A.P.T. turned up several turns.

  Thanks Al

Is the spring broken for the secondary flap, shouldn't be moving?
