Title: Cliff's QJ HP Accelerator Pump Adjustment
Post by: Brian B. on October 29, 2017, 08:13:30 AM
I am using Cliff's HP Accelerator Pump on my rebuilt 7044270.  Should I set set pump adjustment (measurement from choke wall to pump rod tip) same as stock .410" ?  If not, what should I set at?    Application is '74 TA, 3:08, TH400,  224/230 552" lift 112.0 LSA  hyd.  roller camshaft.  Thank you.

The HP pump is much shorter than the stock pump to supply more pump shot.  No need to "adjust" anything as long as it has some tension on it and no delay when you first move the throttle......Cliff
