I rebuilt a quad 17057504 for my hobby stocknew shaft bushings and all the set up as described in Cliffs book, and upon completion in my shop reved fine, on my road very slight hesitation at part throttle thought we would correct it at the track. next day out of the pits ok but on the track for hot laps it lost all get up and go. Idled off the track into pits. Thought it was ignition but is not. out of gear, not under load revs fine but, anything else no balls. The first test run was very satisfactory, any suggestions where to start. I put another one on that I built and is fine

still looking for advice on what I should look for. I'm not sure if air bleeds could be a problem or restrictions. I am not running a power piston and did solder the bore. could a poor solder cause a situation like I have?Thanks for any response, Frank

Exactly what was done to the carb in all areas?
We've set up hundreds of "race" carburetors running straight off the jets with zero issues anyplace. Doing so simply eliminates moving parts, and race engines have no need to be lean at cruise anyhow.....Cliff

I used recipe # 2, My notes are on the bench in my shop. I am at work on a boat for another 5 days. I was hoping to have an idea before I got back to my shop. I have 4 more waiting and will place another order as soon as I figure this one out.
