Stopped by a house on the way home from work yesterday. A few GM carcass's layin out back. Thought I would look for a core or two. If nothin else, parts. Turns out the gentleman has a few quads he was gonna pitch/scrap. Really was lookin for late model APT's, wasnt interested in the early ones he had. He said I had to take them all. I drove away with 8 cores. What I ended up with was a electric truck, early 80's truck, 72 truck, 301 APT, 76 Olds APT, 79 Camaro APT, 74 800cfm Pontiac, and the suprise, a 73 L82 4spd. Who da thunk it. All that for $10.

Bought a 428 a few years back out of a shed behind a house. Didn't pay it much mind, just figured the carb under the factory air cleaner was the original grocery getter Q-jet. Turns out it was a real 7029270 Ram Air auto carb, alone worth 3-4 times what I paid for the entire engine carb to pan!
More recently bought a huge pile of carbs from an enthusiast that was getting out of the hobby. In his collection was a 1969 Chevy 350/350 HP Q-jet, and a 1971 Chevy 454 4 speed unit as well. One of those alone was worth a LOT more than I paid for the entire lot.......Cliff

Recently, a coworker brought bucket of "junk q jet stuff" and gave it to me. I was very happy to find a 17057274 pont 400 800, 17059253 olds 403 800, and a 1982 non ccc olds carb 17082287 800cfm.
I happy but need a "cliff book" now
