Working on a 1705 carb. I want to bend the secondary throttle shaft pin as a stop for a 90 degree opening for the secondarys but i am scared  ill bend shaft. I am using vise grips and carb  baseplate is completely together. Must baseplate be torn down and secondary shaft removed to bend the pin over??? How do you do it??

I bend them all the time with pliers without taking them apart, no worries....Cliff
