I have this carb that has been rebuilt and is modified to my 455 and as far as running I can't complain but there's a slight whistle that I haven't been able to pin point with car cleaner . It seems the same with/without a/filter in place and the base throttle bushings were replaced during rebuild . Any other things to check ? Thanks .

It may be from the idle bypass slots in the airhorn. Some set-ups will be pulling enough bypass air across the slots that they act like whistles. This can be reduced or eliminated by opening up the slots to make the openings larger......Cliff

Mine whistles, it didn't until I opened the bypass air to about .125.

Thanks for the info ! It hasn't seemed to hurt the performance and running or idle so I can put up w/it ! I thought there might be a leak some place I haven't found .
