I brought this specimen home from the scrap yard, b/c it was a chevy style fuel inlet, it has not been rebuild judged by the gold-ish plating still present, and had the front choke pull off....
I did not think/know to look at the Air Bleeds, and I am now understanding it is a 'truck carb' as there is one air bleed just above each venturi... and it is more difficult to tailor the fuel curve?
The question is: Can I use this for a 9.5:1 350 with 195*@.50 cam, which may eventually grow to a 218*@.50 OR use it for it's electronic choke parts, and get a carb from the 76-79 era?
Last question: If I need a different carb, can a front inlet carb used on a SBC? There is a few options at the yard that may work, but I grabbed the chevy style inlet, thinking it would be and easier fit.

Without looking it up pretty sure that carburetor part number is CCC or computer controlled, TSP, M/C solenoid, etc......Cliff

Thanks for the reply Cliff. I found a picture in your book on Page 98 that is the same looking primary side and the caption describes it as a "single main air bleed" carb.... so I will not invest any $$ in to throttle shaft bushings or a rebuild kit... Will use it for parts and educational purposes.

If it doesn't have a TPS and M/C solenoid then it will be a nice unit, SMAB, etc.
When I googled that number it came up as a CCC carburetor, but I didn't look at my reference in the shop to make sure......Cliff
