Hello, I'll be bidding on a Quadrajet for my 1978 Chevy van 350 on E-bay.
The # is 17058201 meaning it's the right carb for my motor, except the 1 means it's for a manual transmission.
Since I have an auto transmission I'm wondering if I will run into any problems installing it.
Thanks; Pete.

It may be missing the kick down cable hook up for the TH350 if that's what was used that year for the auto trans models. Some may lack the modulator vacuum port as well, but manifold vacuum is easily found elsewhere on those later carburetors. The calibrations are slightly different as well, but it should be close enough to work OK, and withing tuning range with the APT adjustment.....Cliff

Thanks for the reply Cliff, if I win it and have any problems I'll let you know.
I might be able to swap some parts from my present carb. which only problem is with the choke.
Pete.
