Title: Oldsmobile 70-74

Hello Cliff...I was curious why Oldsmobile would drill the primary throttle blades when it already has a idle air bypass circuit?...everyone i see on EBay has those holes drilled added to the blades.

Not sure why.  Some Pontiac Ram Air carbs also have drilled throttle plates.

I prefer to add idle bypass air with the bypass system vs drilling the plates......Cliff

...yeah, this carb 7043252 has the base plate idle bypass at .059" and the throttle plates drilled at .111"
...I keep searching EBay for a cheap early 70s Pontiac version just so I  can have one to compare..soon enough.
