Title: Unknown spring

This was in a qjet that I disassembled..I didn't notice where it was placed as it just fell out....Anyone ever seen this spring before?

Looks like a secondary power piston spring used with the primary power piston spring in most 1973-74 Olds Quadrajets?

..really?  never seen one before and I've overhauled about 10 recently...this fell out of this 1974 Buick 455 version...it does have the C primary type rods, which are in every early 70s I have built....thanks for the info...Mike

Maybe someone was using it behind the fuel filter, but it is not a factory part from what I can tell...

Just checked the Delco Manual Bulletin 9C-1038 for 1974 Buick  Quadrajets and they all uses a secondary power piston spring #7040162 to complement the primary power piston spring #7040498.
If the spring fits in the power piston bore it might very well be it.
