A quick question on "tubes". Can someone please take a look at the attached photo and tell me if I'm correct? From outboard to inboard, these tubes are:
Secondary Bleed Tube, aka "Secondary Tube", which should be .036 ID in recipe 2
Pull Over Enrichment Tube, which should be .055-.059 ID in recipe 2
Main Well Bleed Tube..... What should the ID be on that tube in recipe 2?
Also, Cliff says for recipe 2, the secondary metering rod hanger should be "G or higher". Does "higher" mean higher in the alphabet or bigger going down to the letter A??? My hanger is an "N". Is that "higher" than G? May be over-thinking but better now than later.....I had another question but now I can't remember.......
Thanks everyone for your help, and to Cliff for a great book. I read it several times and just about everything finally clicked after I got my carb apart to look at. Book's a little dirty now though....

the outer tubes are the secondary POE tubes. Then, the other ones, which are large, are the primary POE tubes. Then, closer to the center of the carb, the smallest ones, are the secondary bleeds, which Cliff recommends to be at around .036 (his recommendation).

Thanks, Frank, so no "main well bleed tube" as in page 126, or is that just another name for them??

The smaller tubes with the tiny restriction in the end are the main well bleed tubes. They have been given many names over the years, secondary emulsion tubes, secondary bleed tubes, etc. They are the only tubes that hang into the fuel supply passages to the secondary fuel nozzles.....Cliff

Someone please answer the hanger question.

There are hangers stamped B to V (no Q).
With B the secondary rods hangs highest of the bunch out of the secondary metering orifices, and the rest lowers the rods in .005" steps.
Rochester used the 20 different hangers to do specific model calibrating at flow test.

So actually, a "C" WOULD be "higher", as referenced by Cliff, than an "N" when he says "Use a hanger that is higher than G", correct?

Hey Frank....Another tube question.....
the outer tubes are the secondary POE tubes. Then, the other ones, which are large, are the primary POE tubes. Then, closer to the center of the carb, the smallest ones, are the secondary bleeds, which Cliff recommends to be at around .036 (his recommendation).
My outer tubes, the secondary POE tubes, are quite large at .076
Primary POE tube is also large at .084, I think Cliff recommends .055-.059 on this one....
Inside tube, the secondary bleeds are right where they should be at .023, Cliff recommends .036.
How do I downsize the tubes that are currently too big?

The POE tubes are not altered in any way.
On the secondary side the POE has a restriction in the airhorn or exit hole. You can make modifications there to improve fuel delivery.....Cliff
