Title: Q-Jet max CFM
Post by: Mach11969 on November 23, 2020, 10:35:47 AM
Hello Cliff.
Just finished a Pontiac build. My engine builder says he would like to see about 850 cfm from the carb. Can we get that out of a Q-Jet?
I will also fill out the quote request page once he sends me all of the engine and can specs.
 Thanks.

Send Cliff your engine info and cam specs. An efficient engine will usually increase a carbs rated airflow. Edelbrock rated their #1910 quadrajet @ 850cfm. I believe all the big primary venturi qjets flow the same as long as the flapper is adjusted correctly.
