Title: Check ball retainer screw thread size

I picked up a basket case 73 Pontiac qjet with a leaded over plug on the stripped threads check ball retainer screw?...anyone know the stock thread size of the retainer screw?. I'm hoping to find a oversize insert to salvage this build. Thanks.

Going from memory I think they are 1/4" fine threads but I'd have to go check one to make sure....

Thanks...I believe it's 1/4-28.
