There have been alot of q-jets built over the years. Was hoping to get some info on which one to build ( as far as casting number ). Building a 88 Monte Carlo, 350 40 over, flat top eagle rotating assembly, floating rods, steel crank, summit cast iron heads 2.02 1.60 valves 72cc 165cc intake runner, Comp hydraulic flat tappet cam 480 lift 280 duration 110 lobe seperation, performer intake, Msd plug and play distributor with vacuum advance ( no Msd box ). 2004r trans with 2500 stall, and 3:73 gears. Just a street car. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

It appears that you are replacing the CCC carburetor so I would use a 1976 or later Chevy carburetor with a hot-air (or already electric) choke. Make sure the linkage works for your set-up and you will need one with a provision for the TV cable. If you have one of my books there is a chapter on carburetor selection......Cliff
