Title: No Q-jets at Summit

I was just in the big Summit store here in NE Ohio, and there was not a single Quadrajet on display! It was basically just a full aisle of various Holley carb/EFI products, and some Edelbrocks.

I wonder if this is due to 1) the Boomer Corvette/Buick/Olds/Pontiac owners have died off, or 2) enough people realized that those "rebuilt" Qjets sold by Summit/JEGS are hot garbage.

BTW, I moved all the copies of Cliff's book to the "automotive fiction" shelf. LOL

They sold those POS "Stage 1, 2, 3" etc units for years.  Pure JUNK!  I still get calls from folks who bought them and wanting to send them here.  They aren't any better than a POS "reman" you'd get at Pep Boys or from Rock Auto!

A friend of mine worked at Summit for years and told me that the come-back rate was so high on those that they just chunked them into a semi-trailer with the rest of the scrap, the company making them didn't even want them back..........
