Title: !967 GTO with the wrong Quadrajet
Post by: 67dan on October 25, 2010, 03:41:53 PM
I just bought a fine 1967 Fathom Blue GTo the other day with automatic! Found out due to perfomance issues and no passing gear  and looking at the numbers on the carb and noticing a plate underneath, that hte carb came from a 1971 large block Chevy! Which will not work properly with my car!

I noticed the Quadrajets are pretty pricey. What other options will work properly. Holley, Edelbrock?

Dan, per our conversation, we have 3 NOS 1967 Pontiac main castings in stock, they have never been in service.

I also have one 7027263 original unit, and one 7028262, round tag, which is an early 1968 Pontiac carburetor......Cliff
