I use a small flashlight and a magnifying glass. It's tricky and takes patience. I also mark the rods with a sharpie to verify they go into the jets the proper distance.

They really aren't that fussy.  Patience and make sure the power piston hanger arms are level and exactly even.  Good idea to replace the plastic collar that holds the power piston in place.  All of my rebuild kits come with them.  Otherwise you typically have to stake the carb to hold it down so it doesn't pop up during assembly....

Still cleaning up carb. Too many projects at once.

Yeah when I use the new collar the piston will stay down. Ive done it several times carb on 4x4 truck me laying across radiator. Probably impatient at the bench doing several things in the shop at once

This power piston spring with this carb was mangled when I took it apart too. Need a new one. Got the rebuild kit and elec choke etc from Cliff.

Ill wait to see if I need anything else besides a power piston spring
