Looking for original fuel pump (40769) for 1970 Corvette SBC.

Check on Ebay.  As much as I dislike Ebay you'll find quite a few NOS fuel pumps on there.  Some are asking a LOT for them.  You may also find a few different part numbers that still work for your application.  Most early small block pumps will bolt to the block and correctly engage the pump rod so the only real difference is output and fuel inlet/outlet line location......
