I have been searching and have not had any luck finding the float height for this carb.
Is there a list some where?
thanks.

Thanks for the list.
Are there any reasons to set the float height
different than the factory setting?

Some folks like myself set their floats at 1/4" for non-stock drag strip and general high performance driving situations. Aim is to keep float bowl filled for entire quarter mile pass. Float setting of 1/4" in my 800cfm Quadrajet, #7044270 from 1974, works quite well as part of a coordinated system using .135 needle & seat, mechanical pump with return line, higher than stock stall torque converter, and smaller '75 and later float style. This set-up works so well for my application that I keep this float setting for everyday driving with no problems whatsoever. But then again my situation isn't stock.

The float adjustment is different depending on the application and the design of the nozzle inserts that determine when the circuit is started. F.e. inserts has different total length, diameter, internal restrictions, location in booster.
Too high setting will NOT yield better result, instead you´ll likely get nozzle drip and higher consumption.
Most times, even in racing, the original setting for the application is sufficient if the fuel flow is sufficient.
