Sorry for any confusion, I meant to ask if the 704 2902 carburetor can be made to work with a manual transmission. :-[

Check the part number again?

"902" would be a Service Replacment number.

7042202 would be the 1972 small block auto trans carb, 7042203 would be the small block manual trans unit.

"502" or "503" would be for Ca. emissions same year......Cliff
