I have the refresh kit from Cliff, Methenal proof acc. pump plunger, filter, float, gaskets and springs..

 This is in a 69 el Camino with a Th-400 and 2.73 rear end.. I'm usually cruising between 2300 to   2800 rpm.

 It has a new 22216 Melling Marine hyd cam and GM spec lifters.

 I have carb #17058212...

 I get a wierd stumble right off idle when pulling out. If I give it more gas it smooths out and runs great.. Other wise it runs great!

 I got a kit from Cliff with a new acc. pump plunger, float, filter, insolator and gaskets.

 I need to know the following, its bee a few decades since I opened up a Quadrajet. I need to know the measurements for;

- Float drop and float level.

I'm thinking the plunger is shot and / or the float is taking on gasoline and getting heavy. Because  it feels like it's running rich..

 Thank you...

Set the float at 1/4" and you'll be fine....
