Title: Looking for the thickness of those pressed in Quadrajet secondary orifice plates
Post by: DJD OLDS 4MC on February 06, 2026, 12:53:50 PM
It's almost Spring! Currently in the process of preparing a Quadrajet for use this summer.

On the secondary side, I've found a lot of information about the diameter of the orifices (0.136"), but I can't find anything about the thickness of the stainless orifice disc and its shape in cross section.

Looking at the orifice it appears to have a flat top surface that I can touch with a caliper. But from there, the hole appears to have a concave surface down to the actual orifice hole. Trying to determine how far below the flat part of the orifice plate the actual metering part of the orifice is.

If anyone has dug that deep into a Quadrajet  - appreciate it if you could share it here.

Thanks
DJ
