Title: where to get new primary metering rods ??
Post by: Frank400 on January 22, 2011, 04:57:05 AM
I've seen them in Cliff's store but only .044" size.  Is there a "kit" available with plenty of sizes ?  That is for late apt carbs.  I think Edelbrock's are the truck version, .036" tip, right ?

The later model carbs use "M" series metering rods (single main airbleed models).  They are still available from Edelbrock, we don't sell them here.

The earlier carbs with 4 MAB's used "K", "L", or "P" series metering rods, non of which are still being produced or available commercially  that I know of.

Ours are a copy of the "L" series metering rods, .044" at the upper section, tapering all the way down to .026" tips......Cliff

And are you planning on selling/making the longer ones for the early carbs ?

We have .039, .042 and .043" metering rods in stock for the early carburetors.  They are full tapered, similiar in construction to the "B" series rods.....Cliff
