Title: JETS
Post by: qjetsrule on January 27, 2011, 09:04:47 PM
ARE THE NEW REPLACEMENT JETS DIFFERENT DIMENSIONALLY FROM THE ORIGIONAL ONES? IS THERE ANY ADJUSTMENT CORRECTION IN RELATION TO THE METERING ROD? THANKS

Good question and yes.  Many replacment jets are not machined with the orifice in the exact location as the original factory parts.

It appears that the makers of the replacment jets doesn't compensate for the different hole sizes, and has the same lead depth and leading angle into the actual sized opening.

Not really a big deal in most cases, and we check all of our jets here and size them with a custom reamer to set the actual opening of the hole at the correct depth.....Cliff
