Title: idle restictions question
Post by: Mr.Pontiac on January 31, 2009, 06:58:53 AM
Wondering if the idle restictions are to large on any carb. can you drill out the restictions being brass and drill a tap and install set screws that are brass and drill them to the size you want and install them as long as they sit below the top of the carb. body??

We set up q-jets with removable screw in airbleeds, idle tubes, idle down channel restrictions, and idle bypass air restrictions all the time.

Different size screw in bleeds are used at different places, and great care must be used when tapping the castings to avoid breaking off a tap and or getting them set too deep in the casting.......Cliff
