Title: Carb setup help
Post by: Clutch on March 16, 2011, 08:57:33 AM
Hi. I have a 87 Monte SS that came with a stock 350 out of a 90 TBI pickup. The stock carb is hacked up inside and out. I have another Quadrajet on it's way but from what I've gathered it's off a 76 Caddy 500 (17065230 2965). I'm new to these carbs and need help with what to get for it to set it up for the 350. Any help would be appreciated.

I also have a carb #17056212. It need's some work but would this be a better carb?

Those carbs are pretty much equal from a performance standpoint.  Check both carbs to see if they have a 2nd power piston, used in 1975 and some early 1976 models.

I'd use the one with the later APT set-up......Cliff
