After reading Cliff's book I think I may try this on my next carb rebuild, what style and size tap do you use.
What is the best epoxy to use.
Thanks
Nick

We just put together a screw in plug set, but haven't listed it yet for sale, it will be in our new catalog when we get it finished. $2 for the set, you will need a 10-32 and 7/16-18 tap to install the plugs.
We use Marine Tex epoxy on the plugs, it is a permanent repair....Cliff

Good idea to put together a set with the right plugs! Isn't it possible to also include a little epoxy so I don't have to look for that in stores? Now I only need to remember to put this set on my shopping list ;D
Greetings Peter

We're working on it. Right now we only have the plugs in stock, we plan on including the taps and the epoxy at some point.....Cliff

One more question Cliff
The carbs are 1966 7026250 & 7026254, the plugs are over 7/16 in size and the casting looks thin, can I use a 1/2-20 tap and make some plugs or will I break the casting.
thanks for your help.

The plug kit will only work on 69 and newer castings. The 65 to 68 casting will take a 1/2 plug, but great care must be used to tap them, as the castings are quite thin, and many of the early castings are "soft" as well. We usually remove the stock plugs and glue them back in place for the early carburetors.....Cliff
