Hi all Ben Wald here, Im fairly new to the Qjet scene but I understand they make good rock crawler carbs and I just built a 393 stroker from a 351 windsor with roush heads for my 74 bronco and I need some cfms.So I bought this on craigs list off what I was told a 1990 454 chevy pickup. Now I here they didnt put them on anything later than 86.So its been a great start.
This is the part number 17084502 anybody know what the hell I bought?
Thanks Ben

Probably a carb off of a motorhome, mid eighties I guess. yes 454 chevy. M4ME (modified 4 barrel with electric mounted choke on carb). Cliff would have more of the particulars. Good unit to start with I'd think.

If it's a non computer controlled unit, it will be fine for what you are trying to do. The 1708XXXX carbs (no TPS or M/C solenoid) are among the best of the q-jets, have have all the latest features and upgrades. They are, of course, emission calibrated, and will need some help in a few areas....Cliff
