Post by: powell rat on May 25, 2011, 03:31:37 PM
so i rebuilt this carband added .090 bypass air on both sides opened up the idle tubes to .036 idle  mixture screws 3.5 turns out. i did not open up the idle mixture holes to .090.i am experiencing nozzle drip. i am assuming that i probably should open up the idle mixture holes to the book prescribed .090 and tune from that point . do you think the carb has enough bypass air? thanks in advance for your reply

Keep in mind the 79 Old's carb uses metric pitch threaded mixture screws, and tiny holes under them.

3.5 turns out isn't very far, most end up 5-6 turns out, and usually need slightly larger holes under them.....Cliff
