I don't know if I bought the right machine but it sure was at a good price.
It's the Kendal 9 liter heated ultrasonic cleaner. 540 watts and just big enough to fit the Q-Jet's (and others, heck, all kinds of stuff). I bought it on the Amazon website for $379 plus shipping. Dont think I could pass it up at that price. Last year they were closr to $500. IIRC.
Does anybody else have one of these machines? How about the heated function. What woud be the best additive to put in the water for rust? grease?

Don't know about that particular machine, but we use a tablespoon or so of Dawn dishsoap and about that much heavy duty purple degreaser for 5 gallons of water. We leave them in the cleaner for about 30-45 minutes.......Cliff

Hmm.....Purple cleaner and dawn, sounds like a good combination. I assume the way to do it would be to get the heavy stuff off first maybe with a soak in diesel overnight and then a rinse . Then insert into the
ultrsonic. THe bin is about 9" by 11" by 6" deep so good for one carb body.

Go light with the purple floor cleaner/degreaser, it can quickly take all the plating off. I just use about a tablespoon each in 5 gallons of water, and don't leave them in over an hour.....Cliff

I've been thinking about getting an ultrasonic cleaner for years. Thanks for the cleaning solution suggestion.

Cliff, do you use your combo of water, dawn and purple degreaser IN AN ULTRASONIC CLEANER or just sitting ? Frank.
