Cliff or anyone,
What is the correct carb # for a 68 Vette 327/350horse manual trans engine? I have a 7028213 that came with the car. According to some old tune up charts this carb is for a full size car. Any idea what the original jetting/rods should be?
Thanks.

The 7028213 is for the 327/350hp engine with the manual transmission. Not sure if the Corvette used a different number for the small block application. Might want to post that question on the Corvette Forum.
All of the early Chevy carburetors used small main airbleeds. They came with main jets from .064 to .071", and used "B" series metering rods. Most will have the APT system in the baseplate, except for very early units....Cliff

In my book, I have it listed for your application ('68 Corvette 327/350hp w/ manual transmission). ;)

Thanks both for the replies. I have seen several sites that say the 8213 is correct while others claim it is for the 275 horse manual trans full size car. Some vette sites say that 8219 is correct for the vette. So who knows??

Let me correct myself, the 8213 was used in Camaro, Chevelle, etc. The 8219 was used for the 327/350hp Corvette. Sorry for the confusion. :(

The Delco Carb. parts and service manual list the 7028213 for chevrolet 1968 Man. Trans. The 7028219 is listed for Corvette 1968 H.P. Man. Trans. Hope this helps. billy 2
