Hi,

I recently picked up at Quadrajet 7028212 L7 DH. It's in pretty bad shape and I'd like to rebuild it. I don't have much experience so I figured I should probably get your book. In the meantime are there any Do's or Don't tips as far as cleaning goes? I'll post some pics today too.

Thanks,
Kyle

Carb cleaning dips are pretty much useless these days do to th EPA making them environmentally friendly.

Ultra-sonic cleaning is preferred, gets tough deposit off, and out where you can't access them, without harsh chemicals.

Minerial spirits makes a decent cleaner, use plenty of ventilation.

I would get one of our rebuild kits, to upgrade the carb for ethanol, and the parts are far superior to the original ones.....Cliff
