Has the engine been modified in any way or still completely stock, with all the emission controls in place and operational?.....Cliff

ill call my brother he lives in northern minn. i will find out if it still has the smog pump and every thing else hooked up and then i will let you know. thanks dean ps he sent me the carb it still has the plugs pressed in the front .i like to remove them without messing up the base plate. i grind a small hole in the middle and take a slide hammer and pull them out. dean

The caps over the mixtures screws are easy to remove. I use a fine hacksaw blade and "notch" the bottom of the throttle body slightly on either side of them, then drive them out with a punch smacking them forward and breaking out the "notched" area at the same time.
At most I'd consider going one size larger on main jetting, for the stock 454. This new fuel has less energy, and it helps to put more of it in there to keep the engine happy. I'd leave the rest of the carb stock, other than upgrading it with one of our kits.....Cliff

The calibration is fine. I would order our SR kit, and add a secondary cam/spring to it. Also test the choke pull-off to make sure it holds vacuum, and the electric choke to make sure it's heating up....thanks....Cliff

cliff thanks for all the help. i called the shop and left a message. gave the carb no.my name asked for a sr kit and a choke pulloff . thanks again dean

one last dumb question are all secondary cam and springs the same? (E4ME----17085004 I didnt need the cam or spring on the elctronic carb . that car only has 19,000 miles and it was perfect. thanks again dean

We always install a new cam/spring here on all builds. The spring is under tension for decades, and gets weak. The plastic cam gets loose on the shaft, and wears down, and in extreme cases cracks and breaks.....Cliff
