Does anyone know the original application for this Carter-built Q-jet carb number 6173S? I looked through all the info I have and have tentatively ID'd it as a '68 Chevy.

This carb is a Replacement Carburetor. The uses were on Checker, Chevrolet and GM Trucks from '67-'69 on 327cid engines. Had to look in all my manuals to find that one. :)

To add to my above post, it was used in both transmissions, manual or automatic. It was used on most models for Checker, Chevrolet and GM Trucks. ;)
