Title: Which would you start with ...
Post by: BumpaD_Z28 on January 26, 2012, 03:03:45 PM
To do a high performance build for my BBC ...

7045212 (currently running on the car)
7042202 (ran when removed, a long time ago)
17058518 (was told it was running when removed, BUT "I" haven't seen it run)

Probably not much difference in the first two ? ('72 vs '75 ?)

BUT is the later '78 any better ?

TIA !

dave im not the master but i would use the 17058  because its newer and has the good plugs on the bottom. they dont leak very often and also it may not have been worked on before . i like the ones with the plugs still in the mixture screw holes. that means it has never been to a (comercial rebuild shop ) WHERE THEY SEEM TO RUIN MORE THEN THEY FIX. talking from past experience. cliff can sell you all the right parts if you give him all the specs.there that my 2 cents. dean
