Hi Everyone sorta new here: I'm not sure how to put this I have 2 problems I'm rebuilding a 1983 buick elec prk ave, haven't touched the carb here is the problems: 1st when it's damp out I must pump and crank till engine kicks then it wont be on fast Idle. Looks to be an exhaust heated choke. 2nd sometimes not allways I can pull out from a dead stop on idle and as the car shifts it will pick up speed when I pump the acc. still won't return to curb Idle. I have sprayed with carb degreaser still does it. I would appreciate any help. Thanks and have a great wk!!!

joe never worked on an 83 park but i would think it would have an electric choke.do you know if the choke pull off works ?have you tested it could be causing the engine not to slow down once you take off from a stop sign. dean

Thanks for the responce429bbf You know what I might be haveing a senior moment but I would swear it is exhaust heated not electrical but now you have me wondering I will check and let you know. I'm going to spray the carb to see if it helps. You have a great wk/nd!!!
